SMRFS Brand Story
On a random RV trip in 2022, we ran into a Canadian couple at an RV campground who were talking about how they had recently started riding ebikes and how great they felt, but also how many problems they had encountered, which piqued our interest.
So we spent eight months between 2022 and 2023 doing market research. First, we reached out to 107 RV bloggers on YOUTUBE and received enthusiastic responses from 29 YOUTUBERS, all of whom gave feedback on some similar problems RVers have with EBIKE!
1, The e-bike is large, takes up space for storage, and requires a rack to be installed at the rear of the caravans. (Folding ebikes are convenient and space-saving, so they are an option, but not very comfortable to ride)
2, Ebike is heavy, putting on a rack is difficult for older people
3, Worry about rain
4, Worry about the ebike being stolen
5, Expect the cushion to be more comfortable
6, Concerned about riding safety
Then with those questions in mind, we went back to California and Indiana (yes, right here in Elkhart!), where we visited about 20 campgrounds and came to a relatively similar conclusion: most RVers were looking forward to using an ebike that fit them better!
So SMRFS brand was born, we know there are already many ebike brands, but SMRFS only exists for RVers. As we all know, the U.S. RV user group is very large, as of the U.S. RV Industry Association (RVIA) 2021 data statistics show that the U.S. RV ownership of 12 million units, since 2021 the number of units is still rising; an average of 10 families have a family with an RV, and there are one million people who have long been using RVs as their main place of residence.
In mid-2023, the SMRFS technical team utilized a 3-month period to upgrade the existing high quality e-bike products to build the most suitable e-bike for RV users!
RV is not only our cozy home, but also gives us more freedom to go to more interesting places and enjoy the natural beauty; SMRFS is also inspired by the desire for freedom, SMRFS=SUN/STAR + Mountain +River +Forest+ SEA;
We think SMRFS ebike can give RV users a solution to the travel problem when exploring around the campground. Compared with ordinary bikes, the all-terrain ebike is more suitable for long-distance and different road conditions exploration, and it allows us to save energy and enjoy the scenery along the way while riding.
